An Taoiseach Mr.Bertie Ahern T.D. officially opened Cois Alla, the new housing development of Cork Mental Health Housing Association on Friday 26th January 2007.
With the opening of this new development, Cork Mental Health Housing Association, in partnership with the Department of the Environment and Local Government, continues the support of people who experience mental health difficulties, through the provision and management of high quality, purpose built accommodation. Cois Alla, supports 14 residents that have mainly moved from long term hospital care to living in the community. Along with this development, we have built 4 individual apartments for residents who live in this community setting independently, with various supports.
We hope all residents that have moved to Cois Alla are enjoying their new home. We would like to thank the neighbours and the business community of
support of this project.
