OUR SERVICE Solace Café is a FREE out-of-hours mental health service offering peer support in our community when other services are not available. Solace Café is a welcoming spot where you can gather your thoughts, draw on your strengths, and connect with others who've been through similar experiences. It is a unique space for community members seeking support during tough times. It is a comfortable, friendly, and safe environment, open to our over 18's community. THE TEAM Our team is made up of skilled and compassionate people who are trained peer connectors and volunteers from all walks of life. All of our team are trained to support you through your challenges. They are there to lend a listening ear, offer a safe space, and signpost you toward long-term support services specific to your needs. Your well-being is important, and at Solace Café, we're here to remind you that you are never alone. If you don't feel like talking, that is okay too.... We will give you the space to sit and have some tea. Our team will wait until you are ready. We provide training for all volunteers to support them in their roles. These roles suit students requiring placement as a component of their studies, people with lived experience of mental health challenges, and those who wish to give back to their community.
